How do I create the Form Definition (IFD) for my Survey form?

To create the Form Definition for your Survey form, perform the following steps:
  1. Log into InspiroScan Form Creator.
  2. Click Surveys.
  3. In your list of Surveys, find the form for which you wish to create a Form Definition and click its Download Form Definition (IFD) button.
  4. Select your Form Definition options and click Continue.
  5. Once the Form Definition has been created, you'll be able to save it by clicking Download. If you chose to include an Aggregate IFD in your Form Definition options, you will be presented with links to download both an Aggregate and Non-Aggregate IFD.
  6. Save the IFD file in your InspiroScan Definitions folder (typically C:\InspiroScan\Definitions\).

How do I use the Form Definition?

Your Form Definition is used when you scan your paper Surveys. Once your Form Definition (IFD file) is saved in your InspiroScan Definitions folder (typically C:\InspiroScan\Definitions\), it's ready for use. For scanning steps, see Processing a Batch of Forms in InspiroScan.
